Stellar Wood is part of a large unspoilt area of woodland in rural Gloucestershire where private ownership by woodland enthusiasts has ensured its ongoing protection and enjoyment for the small woodland owner for generations to come.
Situated along a well made track far from disturbance by roads, Stellar Wood is a fantastic opportunity to engage in the long term stewardship of this thriving natural environment, where a variety of wildlife including, deer, wild boar, foxes and numerous bird species currently make their home.
A parking area at the entrance to the wood is the entry point into a unique environment of mature larch and mixed broadleaf, including oak and hazel, along with large sunny clearings of dense ground cover and shrubbery that is such a haven for the wildlife. A green track runs up the western boundary, where there is another track access deep into Stellar Wood
This part of the country is a a quiet and undisturbed place where there is little intrusion from the sights and sounds of busy modern life. The woodland takes its name from this area, which features on 'dark skies' maps as a place where the absence of light pollution allows for excellent views of the constellations and opportunities for low light photography.
Nearby is the attractive village of Blaisdon; a thriving village and home to the Red Hart Inn within easy walking distance for refreshments after a rewarding day of woodland activity.
Beyond Stellar Wood the natural beauty of the surrounding area draws many visitors. Numerous walking trails cross the county including The Gloucestershire Way and Offa's Dyke Path. The Wye Valley offers a chance to enjoy the scenery from the water and the historic city of Gloucester provides all the facilities necessary for a comfortable camping experience or to begin the journey of managing your own wood.
These particulars and plans were prepared by local manager Daniel Sharp.
The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
Boundaries are indicated by blue markings on posts and trees running through the wood to the north and east and by blue markings along woodland tracks to the south and west.
