Argh, I wish you could go more in depth. there is a lot of time spent on the "War Bow" and very little on this subject.

I know of only one guy personally that knows the how to… Gary Davis. Yet there is a Vid that Mike Loades did that goes into the making but only the Modern methods are demonstrated. Archery its History and its Forms. is the name of it.

Wow, what a bunch of silly comments!! The string is loose, because the bow ISN'T STRUNG!!! And it does look like a well made bow. Guessing the wood type from the video is tough, but my guess would be elm.

Im not so sure you can infer the height of the archer by the length of a bow from 5000 years ago. That would only be fair if we know that they understood bows like we do. They may have simply thought the bigger the better.
