An Introduction to Cabinet Making

By woodlandstv

Slow connection? Watch in lower quality

Experienced furniture designer and maker Andrew Marsh talks us through the making of a beautiful bespoke wooden cabinet. Andrew adopts traditional furniture making techniques within his work, explaining these terms to us. His love of wood and his passion for his craft is evident, as is his understanding of the various timbers he uses - for different purposes - both aesthetic and practical. http://andrewmaker.com/ An Adliberate film http://www.adliberate.co.uk for WoodlandsTV http://www.woodlands.co.uk/tv

Top quality work,
Can I ask you how you go about finding people who will pay for this quality. Really hard these days to find good clients .

So pleased he explained why he uses animal glue, instead of some romantic nonsense about the old ways are best. One thing: according to my manuals, sap wood has identical properties to heartwood, except no sapwood is rot resisistant.
