It's a complete contrast to the low tech version where you just need to split a few logs by hand (see Mike Pepler in one of our other films \"Making Kindling from Logs Using a Frow\" )  Made by Posch, this piece of kit will rattle through a tree trunk in less than a minute, with the split logs coming out at the other end. Demonstrated by a student from Plumpton College and described by tutor Tony Marshall.
