Snow Wood is a wonderful and wild woodland, set within the wider forest known as Finnery Plantation. These younger woods are incredibly quiet and peaceful and will provide a real escape from a busy, hectic world.

There is a sizeable area of hard-standing at the entrance that will conveniently accommodate a vehicle and trailer or would be suitable as a timber stacking area. The woods are predominately birch regeneration with an open aspect; the topography is reasonably flat though set on two distinct levels. The lower level has more mature birch that will provide a sustainable supply of firewood as well as a lovely grassy open area that would make a fantastic camping spot..

The higher level has had less birch growth with rhododendron trying to establish itself, although it is manageable. This jungle like and secretive area would lend itself to being shaped and managed in almost any direction whether it be planting a forest orchard, the establishment of native deciduous species, the encouragement of red squirrels, the formation of a pond or wetland, or all of the above! There is plenty of scope for additional planting in this area though deer protection would be advised for any young whips.

This diverse woodland is large enough to lose oneself within, and would make a great backdrop for family adventures and exploring the local area. Early viewing is recommended.

The purchasers of the woodland will be asked to enter into a covenant to ensure the quiet and peaceful enjoyment of adjoining woodlands and meadows.
