I still use a TV from the 90's. And I hate watching sports.

The 12 dollar one is probably just as good as the $50 model.

If you have an empty fridge then you could always try to be self reliant. You can make a small burrow in the side of a hill out in the woods (I've seen it done and you can make them very nice) And with a cheap slingshot you can hunt rabbits. And growing herbs, veggies, fruits will help.

All it takes is knowledge and the will to do so. (I plan to do it)
